Artsakh authorities are considering Robert Walter's, PACE Political Affairs and Democracy Committee member, rapporteur on the "Escalation of violence in Nagorno-Karabakh and the other occupied territories of Azerbaijan" request to get a permission to visit Stepanakert with the aim to finish the work on the report, Ani Sargsyan, Spokesperson for the NKR Foreign Ministry, has told an ArmInfo correspondent.
On October 1, 2014 Political Affairs Committee of the PACE assigned MP Robert Walter, who is famous for his pro-Azerbaijani approaches, to prepare a report on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The name "Escalation of violence in Nagorno-Karabakh and the other occupied territories of Azerbaijan" itself became a topic of high-profile scandal and harsh criticism.
Earlier Walter visited Azerbaijan, after which Azerbaijani mass media informed that he also wants to arrive in Nagorno-Karabakh from the Azerbaijani territory, but this didn't happen.
