French Ambassador to Armenia: Local consumers will benefit from Carrefour's entering Armenia

  • by Alexandr Avanesov

  • Monday, May 26, 23:48

French Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia Henri Reynaud told reporters on 26 May that a chain of Carrefour supermarkets would finally emerge and have a strong presence in Armenia.

According to the French diplomat, the French company will bring a new culture to Armenia. It will operate in line with the methods that will undoubtedly satisfy the Armenian consumers. Both Armenia and the local consumers will benefit from Carrefour's entering the country. The consumer service will be in Armenian, new jobs will open, and Carrefour will demonstrate its working methods to Armenia. The ambassador said the trade sector is developing quite dynamically in Armenia and consumers will gain from the stiffening competition in the domestic market.
