"We are not only ready to play vs. Armenia, but also in the final of the World Cup 2014 qualifiers. We have arrived here to win," visiting coach Luboslav Penev told reporters in Yerevan, Thursday.
"If someone was aiming to scare the team ... I can tell you it wasn't achieved," visiting coach Luboslav Penev said.
Armenia vs. Bulgaria match will take place in Yerevan today at 7:00pm at the Republican Stadium after Vazgen Sargsyan.
Armenia vs. Bulgaria odds at Toto: 3.0 Armenia's victory, 3.50 draw, 2.6 Bulgaria's victory. Nearly similar odds are at Bwin, Bet at Home, Titanbet, Willianhill.
The visiting coach said no players have any traumas. The Bulgarian team is well prepared and is able to win, though the Armenian team is also well balanced and has 4-5 leaders able to show a good game. Luboslav Penev thinks that the retaliatory protest of Armenian fans in Yerevan will not scare the Bulgarian players. He is sure that there is severe fight between Armenia and Bulgaria in Sofia, where his players do not yield to provocations.
Local fans FAF and Red Eagles organized a 'warm' reception for the Bulgarian team at Yerevan Airport ahead of Friday's World Cup qualifier against Armenia. Angry home fans booed the players and coaches and cried 'Bulgarian gypsies'. It was a response to last year's aggressive attitude towards the Armenian team and fans in Sofia. The Bulgarian team is now training at the Republican Stadium where all the security measures were taken yet overnight.
In September 2012 Armenia filed a protest with soccer's ruling body FIFA about poor officiating and the treatment they received from the home team inBulgaria. After the match Armenian fans said they were racially abused by home supporters.
The Armenian team is still on the 4th place in the group with 9 points.
