Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will visit Yerevan on April 7 and Baku on April 8, Russian government's Spokeswoman Natalia Timakova told journalists, TASS informs.
According to her, meeting of EEC Prime Ministers will take place in Moscow. "In the nearest future Prime Minister Medvedev will have a phone conversation with his Armenian counterpart Hovik Abrahamyan. As it is expected Dmitry Medvedev will inform his counterpart on Russia's readiness to agree with Kazakhstan's proposal to hold summit to Moscow instead of Yerevan", Timakova noted.
She emphasized that "Dmitry Medvedev's official visit to Yerevan will take place on date scheduled beforehand (April 7), after which he will visit Azerbaijan (April 8)".
Medvedev's visit to Yerevan was announced on March 24 prior to escalation of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The agenda of meetings with the Armenian authorities includes bilateral cooperation in trade- economic, investment, industrial, cultural and other fields. It was also planned that the Russian Prime Minister would participate in the summit of Eurasian Economic Commission scheduled on April 8 in Yerevan.
