The process of Constitutional reforms is already rigged, as the citizens, who have been leaving abroad for a long time, are included in the voters' list, Armen Martirosyan, Vice-President of Heritage party, said at a press conference on November 23.
According to him, the authorities intend to use the votes of these citizens in order to ensure the turnout first and then to conduct the reforms. He thinks that the Armenian society is not interested in the Constitutional referendum, as nothing depends on it. "The situation will change if from December 1 the Armenian society consolidates and takes the situation under its control", he noted.
Martirosyan also thinks that Republican's statements that the Constitutional reforms will lead to power decentralization are nonsensical. "These reforms will legitimize the existing lawlessness. The parliamentary system remains out of question, as it will be a one-arty system," the politician noted. According to him, the proposed draft of reforms does not reflect the demands of the opposition. "This not the system and the reforms, for which the opposition was fighting for so many years. This draft is aimed at legalization of one- party system, corruption and monopoly", he summarized.
To note, the Constitutional referendum is scheduled for December 6. However, on December 1, a protest of opposition "New Armenia" Front will take place, during which the process of power shift will commence, according to the headquarters' head Jirayr Sefilyan.
