Representatives of international organizations and foreign ambassadors should refrain from making statements on the Oskanyan case as they may be regarded as an attempt to pressure the investigation and may affect the image of Armenia and its political forces, Secretary of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia Hovhanes Sahakyan said in an interview to ArmInfo.
Sahakyan does not agree with the opinion of US Ambassador John Heffern that "the Oskanyan case appears to represent the selective application of Armenian law."
"Presently several members of the Republican Party are facing criminal charges, which proves that the Armenian authorities are fighting against crimes rather individuals," Shakyan said.
