Swiss Ambassador to Armenia Lukas Gasser: Switzerland will try to contribute to a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict without questioning the established formats such as the OSCE Minsk process

The question Zaruhi Postanjyan asked to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan was unprecedented, the head of the Armenian delegation to PACE David Harutyunyan told journalists on Thursday.
"Of course, there are political figures who are always ready to ask such questions just to look as real fighters against the regime. Vladimir Zhirinovsky also did such things in his time. But in politics such methods are usually confronted," Harutyunyan said.
He said that it is for the Speaker of the Armenian Parliament to decide if Postanjyan must be expelled from the Armenian delegation to PACE or not. "PACE does not require that a national delegation cover all the political forces existing in its country and allows for rotation. This is not about expelling Postanjyan but about forming a delegation meeting PACE's requirements," Harutyunyan said.
Speaking at PACE Postanjyan asked the president how he was going to pay the 70 million EUR he allegedly lost in a casino. Postanjyan has been harshly criticized for her question also by local political forces. Nevertheless, she enlisted the support of some political forces, public organizations and citizens, who welcomed her at the airport as "a national hero."
