Georgian People to Free Their Country - Saakashvili

Tbilisi. Georgian people will, by all means, free their country - Georgian President, Mikheil Saakashvili, stated during his visit to Shida Kartli region, on Monday, August 6 - press service of the Georgian President's Administration reported.
"The enemy has deprived us of nearly everything but life. I firmly believe that we will get everything back. Historically, none of our enemies managed to settle in the middle of Kartli region and they will not do it either," Saakashvili stated.
"We will free our country, our villages and get back our homes," Saakashvili said.
There were hostilities in Shida Kartli region, in august 20008. About 413 Georgians, including 166 military servicemen, 16 policemen and 220 civilians, died in hostilities. 2 234 people were wounded.
President Saakashvili visited Dzeveri, Kitsnisi and Karakleti villages in Shida Kartli region and met with the local population.
"I, as well as the entire country, personally witnessed how dignified the local population is," Mikheil Saakashvili stated when recalling the developments in 2008, at the meeting with Karaleti village population.
