Rosgosstrakh Armenia has launched online sale of foreign travel insurance policies, the company's press service told ArmInfo.
The source says that from now on the potential policy holders of the company can buy an insurance policy on the corporate website of the insurer (www.RGS.am) within minutes, even without leaving home.
Gagik Grigoryan, CEO of Rosgosstrakh Armenia, points out that online sale of insurance policies has already become a common procedure in Western countries. "This is a new perspective for Armenia. We are somewhat ahead of the market, because we realize that the future belongs to high technologies. We are not going to restrict ourselves to creation of the widest and most affordable network of offices for the customers. Introduction of online sale of policies allows us to be closer to the customers and make the services for them as convenient as possible", he says.
The company says that the first customers have already made use of the new service and have successfully taken abroad.
To buy an insurance policy online, a customer is to fill in a special application form, then make a payment with a bankcard. Several seconds later the customer can download and print his insurance policy and then complete the procedure by signing it. A copy of the effective policy is sent to the customer's e-mail, so, it is impossible to lose or forget it, because it can always be printed repeatedly. It is necessary to print the policy to submit it to the relevant embassy. The press service of Rosgosstrakh Armenia points out that the website provides an opportunity to choose not only a one-time policy, but also annual policies for those who travel abroad very often. In addition, there is an opportunity to insure the luggage against loss or delay.
