Tbilisi. The Georgian Dream coalition will not make a collusion with the ruling party, leader of the opposition union, billionaire Bidzna Ivanishvili said, while answering Georgian TV watchers' questions for three hours on air of the "9th Channel".
The questions were sent through Facebook social net and on the "hot line" on air of the "9th Channel".
"There will be no agreement with the ruling party and the arrangement on votes distribution. I will not talk to anybody secretly from the people", Ivanishvili stated.
He also noted that he did not intend told hold street rallies after the elections. "I think I will not need to hold protest rallies after the elections as the authorities will not be able to rig rudely voting because of presence of many observers in the country. We will hold only an hour rally of the same format, as rallies that we held during the election campaign", the leader of the coalition said.
According to Ivanishvili, he will not allow confrontation in the country after the elections. "Whatever events develop, there will be no confrontation and no one persons will suffer", he noted.
While responding to accusations that he allegedly wanted "to return the country to the past", Ivanishvili said: "it is Saakashvili who has built the epoch of feudalism in contemporary Georgia as two-three representatives of the National Movement (the ruling party) owns the best resources and lands in all regions and settlements. It is silly to speak that I intend to return the country to the part and build socialism".
The oppositional billionaire also said that in his opinion, a fact of work in Shevardnadze's government was not a crime. "How we can divide people according to their political points of view and consider the fact that a person, who was capable to work, served in another government. I promise that after we come to power, no one person, working in state structures, will not be persecuted, if he/she has not committed a crime, and people will maintain their jobs", Ivanishvili emphasized.
In response to President Mikheil Saakashvili's proposal to all political forces to unite in principal for the country issues of national and foreign policy, Ivanishvili said "I think these calls first of all concern him, as we do not put forward ungrounded accusations and do not inflict damage to the country". "To my mind, he has made such step because he understands that nobody will recognize results of his rude policy and rigging of the elections", Ivanishvili affirms.
During three hours Ivanishvili answered approximately 20 questions of residents of Georgia. Some hundreds questions were sent through Facebook social net and the "hot line".
Percentage ratio of questions is as follows: 16% - social theme, 12%- foreign policy, 11% - economy, 7% - culture, science and sport. The rest questions concerned personal themes.
Residents of Zestafoni, Senaki, Dmanisi, Dusheti were able to ask questions on the air of the "The 9th Channel".
A resident of Senaki town (Samegrelo region) asked Ivanishvili where he was earlier, when Georgia has so many problems.
Ivanishvili took into consideration her remark.
"I did everything I could for the country, but I never spoke about my charity activity during many years. Even today, when I have to speak about it, I feel uneasy. But members of my team have persuaded me that this theme must be spoken about because we have an important and global objective. I know very well that not all population of Georgia felt results of what I did for many years. I can do more and that's why I decided to go into politics", Ivanishvili stressed.
It was noted at the end of the program that "The 9th Channel" had sent an invitation to President of the country Mikheil Saakashvili to answer questions of Georgian residents on air of the TV channel in the same format, Bidzina Ivanishvili talked with the population in.
