The
film "The Scar" by Fatih Akin, a German filmmaker of Turkish origin,
will be demonstrated at Golden Apricot XII Yerevan International Film Festival.
Raffi Movsisyan, event coordinator at Golden Apricot,
has told ArmInfo that in 2015 the Festival will include a program dedicated to
the centennial anniversary of Armenian Genocide. It will include feature films,
documentaries and animation films covering the tragedy of 1915.
The matter particularly concerns "Ararat" by
Atom Egoyan, "Mayrig" by Henri Verneuil. "La masseria delle
allodole" by Paolo and Vittorio Taviani, "Chienne d'histoire" by
Serge Avedikian and other films.
In addition, the Golden Apricot Film Festival is
planning to demonstrate "The Scar" by the well-known director Fatih
Akin.
Along with the films, the Festival programs will also
include roundtables with participation of filmmakers.
Movsisyan added that in 2015 Golden Apricot will
feature some films on the Holocaust and other crimes against humanity.
The Golden Apricot XII Yerevan International Film
Festival will be held on 12-19 July 2015.
