Such a short distance between the Armenian helicopter and the Azeri positions raises numerous questions to the Armenian command, Heritage Party Leader Raffi Hovannisian said at a press conference on Friday.
There is no reason for which the helicopter had to fly at a distance of 150 meters from the Azeri frontline and 350 meters from Karabakh's positions. This question needs a clear answer, he said.
He also stressed that the Armenian helicopter was shot down by a Russian weapon. He criticized the policy of Armenia's strategic ally - Moscow, which supplies so many weapons to Azerbaijan. In this context, Hovannisian thinks that Armenia's preference given to the Eurasian Economic Union was wrong. According to Hovannisian, Armenia is a part of Western civilization.
