An action in support of the Armenians of Kessab is currently underway at the U.S. Embassy in Yerevan, ArmInfo's correspondent on the spot reports. The activists demand Washington not to close eyes on the bloodshed in Kessab and, generally, in Syria.
"Turkey is the strategic partner of the United States, so we demand the latter, as the democracy advocate, to support the citizens whose rights have been violated
for such long period of time," the activists say.
"After fleeing to Latakia, we lost everything we had. Now we need both psychological and financial assistance," says Nshan Gyozalyan, an Armenian from Kessab.
