The volume of releases from Lake Sevan may grow.
As the head of the association "For stable development", Karine Danielyan, said at today's press-conference that story is around that alterations will be made to the
law "On Lake Sevan", according to which the maximal volume of releases from Lake Sevan will grow. The current law foresees maximum 170 mln sq/m of releases per year. However, the relevant alteration has not been submitted to the parliament yet, she said.
To recall, as of 1 Jan 2013 the level of Lake Sevan was 1900,10 m, which is by 3 cm lower than the index of the previous year. The negative balance is the result of last year's water release.
