OSCE Yerevan Office condemns assassination attempt on Paruyr Hayrikyan

Head of the OSCE Yerevan Office, Ambassador Andrey Sorokin has condemned the assassination attempt on presidential candidate, the leader of National Self-Determination Union Paruyr Hayrikyan.
Sorokin was shocked at the shooting of such an outstanding political figure and condemns such an instance of violence before such a crucial event for Armenia. He hopes that everything will be done to disclose the crime and that this incident will not cast a shadow on the democratic electoral process in Armenia.
The leader of National Self-Determination Union, presidential candidate Paruyr Hayrikyan was shot in the shoulder Wednesday night and taken to hospital. The police are investigating the case.
