 Tickets of "Armenia" train running Yerevan-Batumi- Yerevan have become cheaper by 2.2 thousand drams for sleeping cars and by 2.7 thousand drams for compartment coaches due to seasonal discounts, the South Caucasus Railway said in a statement. The tickets for the compartment car will cost 14,550 drams for the upper place and 15,770 drams for lower place. The sleeping car will cost 25790 drams per passenger.  In August5, 21.6 thousand passengers traveled by "Armenia" train, which is by 1.9 thousand people more than a year ago. A total of 205 tickets were sold online for August, which is almost 3-fold more than in Aug 2013.
CJSC "South Caucasian Railway" is a 100% subsidiary of JSC "Russian Railways" and provides concession management of Armenian railroads.  CJSC "Armenian Railways" was referred to the concession management to the company "SCR" according to the Concession Agreement signed on February 13, 2008. The term of the concession management is 30 years with possible extension for another 10 years.
