Paruyr Hayrikyan is ready to join Andreas Gukasyan's hunger strike

The leader of  the Union for National Self-Determination party, candidate for president Paruyr Hayrikyan is ready to join Andreas Gukasyan's hunger strike.

Hayrikyan said at today's press-conference that Gukasyan's requirements are right, for this reason he did not rule out an opportunity of joining Gukasyan's hunger strike soon. He also added that a hunger strike is useful for health and he himself holds it several time over a year. "If during the hunger strike Gukasyan comes to compliance with himself, in that case I will join him and we shall end the action together", - Hayrikyan said.

At the same time, Hayrikyan said that at present he has no reason to complain for the electoral race that kicked off yesterday. "There is only one exclusion: one of the candidates for president occupies high position, breaking the principle of equality of candidates in such a way", - Hayrikyan said hinting at Serzh Sargsyan. Nevertheless, he positively assessed his chances and said that according to several public opinion polls, he may gain 7-14% of vote
at the election, lagging only behind Serzh Sargsyan and the leader of the Heritage party, Raffi Hovannisian.
