If the entire world is speaking a language incomprehensible to Turkey, the problem is, probably, in Ankara. Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian said in a joint press conference with Foreign Minister of Belgium Didier Reynders in Yerevan, on April 27.
"These days Turkey is blaming everyone: Pope Francis, European Parliament that represents 28 countries, France, Russia, Germany, Austria and many other countries. I suppose it will be easier for Ankara to make one statement that would criticize the entire civilized world, the world community, for they speak the language incomprehensible to Turkey," the Armenian minister said.
Earlier, the Turkish Foreign Ministry has disseminated a statement slamming the Roman Pope, the presidents of Germany, Russia, U.S., and France for their stand on the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire.
Didier Reynders said it is a great honor for him to visit the Armenian Genocide Memorial and pay tribute to the memory of the innocent victims. He said Belgium expressed its stand on the issue and event called on Turkey to recognize the Armenian Genocide.
The Belgian minister said his country will continue contributing to the Armenian-Turkish normalization. The Belgian Senate passed a resolution to recognize and condemn the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Empire in March 1998.
