Marat Terterov: Armenia’s long term security will be better served by strengthening economic security, rather than defining national security on the basis of the Tsarist Russian catch-cry “armiya i flot”
"Dream on!", - President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan said over his campaign trip to Spitak town when commenting on the candidate for president Raffi Hovannisian's statement that if he gains a victory at the presidential election, he will increase the budget of the country by 300 billion drams
and the salary by 80 thsd drams.
"I doubt that Hovannisian will manage to live up to promises", - Sargsyan said and added that they increased Armenia's budget by 101 billion drams in 2012 though Hovannisian was skeptical to such an opportunity. "It is very much easy to count money of other people, to notice mistakes and give advices. We understand all this. Nevertheless, we are ready to cooperate with everybody who wants", - he said. The president thinks that the given
promise is not realistic and Hovannisian is a naive man.
He also commented on the building of the plant on production of elevators in Spitak. "Four hectares of land have been already allocated for the project, and in March 2013 Chinese investors will start investing the construction", - Sargsyan concluded.
