Political expert: Reports that the Azeri Parliament might adopt a law "On Occupied Territories of Azerbaijan" were just an attempt to see the reaction of the Azeri society, Armenia and the world community
Marat Terterov: Armenia’s long term security will be better served by strengthening economic security, rather than defining national security on the basis of the Tsarist Russian catch-cry “armiya i flot”
Political fight should not obligatory suppose president's palace assault, the head of the Heritage parliamentary faction, Ruben Hakopyan, said at today's open
press-conference at Liberty Square in the center of Yerevan, where the leader of the Heritage party Raffi Hovannisian has been holding hunger strike since 10 March.
"From time to time we are blamed for rather misty prospects and goals of our movement and for having no strict programme. But such statements are far from reality. I understand very well the part of the society which thinks that the necessity has ripened to gather several thousands of people and to assault the president's residence. These people are fed up to the neck with the present authorities, and they demonstrate such mood not because of a good life. At the same time, I would like to say that our movement is against such actions, as we do not want to aggravate the situation", - Hakopyan said.
He also added that the Heritage party has got its strict strategy of fight, and thinks it is inexpedient to publish it. As for the goal of the movement, it still remains the same - fighting election fraud, protection of votes and returning of the stolen votes, he said.
