Swiss Ambassador to Armenia Lukas Gasser: Switzerland will try to contribute to a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict without questioning the established formats such as the OSCE Minsk process
Nikol Pashinyan, MP from the opposition Armenian National Congress Faction, has commented on the parliamentary voting for Gevorg Kostanyan's candidacy for Prosecutor General of Armenia.
"It is a political riddle: two opposition factions of the National Assembly stated that they would vote against Gevorg Kostanyan nominated for Prosecutor General by Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, however, during the closed ballot Kostanyan obtained three opposing votes only", Pashinyan says on his Facebook page.
The Armenian Parliament has approved Gevorg Kostanyan's candidacy for the prosecutor general of Armenia. 103 MPs voted pro, 3 ones contra.
Before the voting the parliamentary groups of Heritage Party and the Armenian National Congress said they would vote against Kostanyan. The Republican Party and Orinats Yerkir were going to support the candidate. The ARFD said it would vote at own discretion. Only Prosperous Armenia Party said nothing.
