In 2014, a total of 203 children from the railroaders' families spent their summer holidays at the Gugark recreation camp under the patronage of South Caucasus Railway (SCR) CJSC.

The SCR press service reports that this year SCR CJSC organized the summer vacation of not only its employees' children but also the children from Chinari borderline village (22 children aged 7 to 14). The camp held cultural, recreational and sport activities for the children. In addition, the children could attend the Pushkin Summer School of the Russian Language, which opened under the agreement with the Rossotrudnichestvo Office in Yerevan.

South Caucasus Railway CJSC is a socially oriented company and gives high priority to recreation of its employees and their families. It implements similar programs annually and intends to continue this practice in the future. SCR CJSC is a 100% subsidiary of Russian Railway OJSC and the concessional manager Armenian Railway under the 13 Feb 2008 agreement, which was signed for 30 years but can be prolonged for 10 more years.
