Armenia and
Armenians worldwide should join efforts to combat migration, poverty, and
unemployment in the republic, Ara Abrahamyan, Russian businessman of Armenian
origin, Chairman of the Union of Armenians of Russia and the World Armenian
Congress, said at V Armenia-Diaspora Forum.
"We
should not blame the state for the current problems, each of us should try to
solve those problems to the best of his/her abilities", said Abrahamyan.
He also stressed the need to hold annual economic forums with participation of
Armenian businessmen from all over the world.
"We should consolidate the Armenian potential, present specific
investments projects in Armenia and implement them. The World Armenian Congress
and the Union of Armenians of Russia are ready to cooperate with all the
structures of Diaspora", he said.
He added
that by Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan's decision, a Pan-Armenian Council
will be set up to coordinate the Armenian lobby organizations' activities
worldwide and to tackle the problems of Diaspora's structures.
"It
is necessary to create a new model of Armenia-Diaspora-Artsakh cooperation,
which will enhance the Armenian factor's role in the world", he said.
