Deputy of National Assembly of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan is to abstain during the voting on the Armenian-Russian agreement on the 200-mln-USD-loan.
During the July 2 meeting at National Assembly Pashinyan demanded that deputy minister of Defence Ara Nazaryan explain Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan's following statement: "energy rates will be compensated through the further promotion of security". "What promotion of security does he mean? What finds are to be channeled for ENA's financial rehabilitation?"
The deputy minister said he could not comment, however, he said that neither loan nor budget finds would be channeled for those purposes.
The agreement was signed in Yerevan on June 26, 2015. The loan period is 13 years. In 2015-2017 Armenia is to purchase Russian armaments.
