Health Ministry: Paruyr Hayrikyan's health has not changed for the worse, he is undergoing physical therapy

Simonyan, Spokesperson of the Armenian Health Ministry, told ArmInfo's correspondent. 

She said that the pain Hayrikyan is complaining of is conditioned by the fact that his injury affected the nerve. "However, Hayrikyan is undergoing relevant treatment, particularly, physical therapy, and one mustn't say that his health has changed for the worse", she said.  

In the meantime, according to some Armenian news agencies, which do not refer to Hayrikyan's physicians, Hayrikyan's health has changed for the worse because of the blood lake and sharpened pain in the shoulder. In this connection, the representatives of Hayrikyan's campaign headquarters did not rule out that Hayrikyan would revise his decision not to apply to the Constitutional Court for postponement of the election. In any case, Hayrikyan will make a final decision by 10 February.    

Hayrikyan and the representatives of his campaign headquarters got indignant at the behavior of the other presidential candidates, who started blaming him for reluctance not to apply to the Constitutional Court to postpone the election. In addition, Hayrikyan is concerned over the lack of official information about the assassination attempt against him. As a result, the mass media speak of some "absurd" versions and he has to deny them constantly.

To remind, leader of the National Self-Determination Union, presidential candidate Paruyr Hayrikyan was shot in the shoulder Jan 31 night and taken to hospital. He underwent surgery and on Feb 5 he told journalists that he felt good and did not consider the assassination attempt to be an obstacle for continuation of the
election campaign.

To remind, the presidential election will be held on Feb 18. 8 candidates will run for presidency.
