GeoProMining, a diversified international group of mining companies, is pleased to announce that the Agarak Copper-Molybdenum Combine (ACMC) has launched a closed water circulation system. Introduction of the new advanced circulation system is part of a large-scale modernization programme at ACMC. The budget of the project, which started in September 2011 amounted to USD4.5 million.
The new system of closed water circulation allows to completely excluding ingress of technical water into the environment, including the cross-border Araks River. A multilevel system includes two separate pools for cleaning, located on the territory of the tailing site Davazami. Backup power systems of water transmission provide uninterrupted circulation of water from the pools to the complex and back. The new system will also allow sharply reduce the volume of clean water used in the production process.

Agarak Copper-Molybdenum Complex is part of the international group of companies GeoProMining. In 2009-2012 the complex and mine were completely renovated and reached the processing capacity of the 3.5 million tonnes of ore annually. The complex is located in the most southern city of Armenia Agarak and produces copper and molybdenum concentrate.
