The inability to fix its position has become a sad tradition for the Prosperous Armenia Party, vice-speaker of the parliament, press-secretary of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia, Edward Sharmazanov, said when commenting on the PAP members' statement that the PAP has not yet fixed its position in the matter of Armenia's joining the Customs Union.
He said the PAP could not fix its position during the presidential election. It also could not determine its orientation at the political field after leaving the ruling coalition, and at present it cannot fix its position in the matter of Armenia's joining the Customs Union, he added. "It will be late, when the party fixes its position", - Sharmazanov said and added "one does not need mustard after dinner".
After the congress of the PAP held in Yerevan on 15 February, ex-foreign minister of Armenia, Vartan Oskanian, and secretary of the PAP parliamentary faction, Naira Zohrabyan, said that not everything is clear as a result of the road map making on Armenia's joining the Customs Union. For this reason, the party needs time to fix its position on Armenia's joining the CU.
