Tbilisi. Malkhaz Mikeladze, Georgia's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Panama, presented his credentials to Panamanian leader, Ricardo Martinelli - Press and Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Georgia reported on June 27.
Georgian diplomatic mission's activity in Mexico is also extended to Cuba, the Commonwealth of Dominica, Guatemala, Honduras, Saint-Vincent and Grenadines, Jamaica and Panama.
"The ceremony was followed by a meeting during which the two discussed the prospect of developing bilateral co-operation between their two countries. The sides also reiterated the readiness of their governments to enhance relations in the political, economic and trade and cultural spheres. Mikeladze thanked Martinelli for his government's firm support for Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity," the statement reads.
Mikeladze confirmed Georgian government's invitation for Panamanian President to visit Georgia. Diplomatic relations between Georgia and Panama were established in 1998.
