Victory in the next countrywide election "will pass by Melik-Adamyan Street (the Office of the ruling Republican Party is located in the given street - editor's note)."
The statement came from Gagik Tsarukyan, Leader of Prosperous Armenia Party at the joint meeting of the PAP Political Council and Faction in the Parliament, when commenting on the recent statement by Eduard Sharmazanov, Vice Speaker of the Armenian Parliament, spokesperson of the Republican Party, who declared that any political figure striving for high positions in the Armenian Government within the coming 10 years will have to 'cross' Melik-Adamyan Street. (This probably means that within the coming 10 years all the leading positions in Armenia will be occupied by the Republicans only - editor's note).
Tsarukyan said that he would not bear any 'retreat' at the expense of his dignity or his party's image. PAP Leaders urged the members of the party to actively cooperate with all the sections of the population.
