Russia's presence in the South Caucasus is only a couple of centuries old and is full of dark pages for Armenian people, Heritage Party says in a statement.
The party is bewildered by some moments of Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Armenia on December 2.
"Despite the friendship swears, Putin abstained from qualifying the threats against Armenia as actions against Armenia's national security. Putin's statements about the need for peace in the South Caucasus are lame when Moscow, guided by its political interests, sells military hardware to Azerbaijan, which is to blame for destabilization in the region", the statement says.
Heritage also condemns the decision to sell the 20% of ArmRusgasprom's shares to Russia. In the meantime, the party welcomes Iran's willingness to supply gas to Armenia. The authors of the statement demand that the authorities should start negotiating in this direction.
