Zaruhi Postanjyan, parliamentarian from the Heritage Party, said in the course of the Wednesday hearings in the Parliament snap parliamentary and presidential elections are expected in Armenia in 2015. In this light, she appealed to Head of Armenia's Central Election Commission (CEC) Tigran Mukuchyan to find out how much budgetary funds are envisaged for extraordinary election processes in 2015.
Mukuchyan was quite surprised to hear such question and said he has no information on any snap elections. He is informed of the 2017-2018 elections and the elections to the self-government of 2015.
In response, the oppositionist parliamentarian 'informed' the head of the CEC that the people demand a power change that may happen already in 2015.
A Republican parliamentarian Hovhanness Sahakyan interrupted the dispute and urged the officials to refrain from political statements in the course of the budget hearings. Nevertheless, Postanjyan recommended the Government to envisage funds for snap elections of 2015.
