Georgia Can and Must Avoid Involvement in Possible War with Iran

Tbilisi. Georgia can and must avoid its active participation in possible war with Iran. But it does not mean that Georgian authorities must not be involved in great politics in the Near East. The processes in the region can not help influencing  the situation in the country, that's why Georgia is  interested much in peace and stability. Regretfully, the prognostication for events development in the Near East for the average perspective can not be named as optimistic. Possibility of the conflict is rather great, and practically all countries of the region belong to one or another camp. In these conditions Georgia has a unique chance to maintain neutrality between the conflicting sides and become a kind of the area for contacts between them like Switzerland of the World War II times, political expert Gela Vasadze considers.
