Marat Terterov: Armenia’s long term security will be better served by strengthening economic security, rather than defining national security on the basis of the Tsarist Russian catch-cry “armiya i flot”
Heritage Party is not going to refuse its deputy mandates, Raffi Hovannisian said at the party's Congress on June 2.
He said Heritage will keep actively protecting the interests of the Armenian citizens in the parliament.
"We are under obligation to the people who chose our party. However, fight for development of our country and its security, fight against arbitrary rule, atmosphere of fear and other negative phenomena will be mainly outside the parliament, in the street. We are at one with all the public and civil initiatives that are against momentary interests of small groups of people," he said.
Hovannisian said that he is ready to yield his first place in the party's ticket and the given issue will be discussed after the Congress elects the new board of the party.
To recall, Heritage Party ran for the parliament in a joint proportional representation with Free Democrats party and received 5 seats in the parliament.
